I just got a new 16gb 3G iPhone, and have been trying to find the right case for it. I got a cheap little silicon one because it was the only one available at the AT&T store i got the iPhone at.

I then got one a Rocketfish one at Best Buy which was all hard plastic surrounding the phone and was a major pain in the ass to remove, however, the one feature I liked about it was that it had a thin, yet hard plastic covering for the screen that was actually a part of the case.

I'm hoping someone would have a suggestion of a good case that has something similar, I'm really worried about scratching my screen, and I wonder about the durability of some of the plastic screen you apply like a window tint, I really don't want to have bubbling, plus I worry about the durability, if say my keys scratch it, will the films protect the screen?

Anyhow, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Theres a guy on YouTube who carries out reviews on iPhone 3G cases. He's covered pretty much every brand. Worth taking a look at here.

If it's something thin and minimal, mainly for scratches then just get a screen protector and a case I'd recommend the incipio feather. It comes with 2 screen protectors so if you buy the case you get both. Check out it on YouTube.

Well, I have 3 things protecting my iPhone 3G.

1st layer is a http://www.skinizi.com skin, which adds personality to your phone whilst protecting the back.

2nd layer is an invisible shield full body shield, no real bad points although the corners of the back protection are starting to peel.

3rd layer is a switcheasy capsule rebel black case.

I will post pictures if you want.

But basically their the levels of protection you can get.

Combo of Invisible Shield and incase protective cover for iphone 3g

I use two things, the invisible shield screen protector, which is a pain in the ass to apply, but it works phenomenal once its on. definately the best screen protector around.

I then have a incase protective cover for it, which is basically a thin rubber case that goes around the outside of the phone and holds fairly tight to it, like a second skin. Good grip, rubber is fairly protective and wont damage the phone. Heres a few pics.

I'm a newbie too and I'm leaning toward the Capsule Neo http://www.switcheasy.com/products/Neo/Neo.php (which has its own thread in the accessories section of the forum), and a leather case. The type of case I am trying to avoid is any kind of case that makes docking difficult, or any type that might scratch my phone, simply from its mechanics.
