Newbie needs help: Mail & Mbox Mail & configs

Mac newbie here.

Need help configuring Mac mail & hotmail & Mbox Mail for Mac.

Deleted the hotmail accounts because the Mac Mail kept on asking for login info and couldn´t send or receive. When I 1st installed Mbox it worked ok but just for receiving not sending mail. Now I´ve uninstalled Mbox but mail handler keeps asking for the login info (no problems for Exchange and Gmail).
The hotmail account aren´t there but the login info is requested.
How do I "reset" MacMail ? Want to reinstall Mbox.
