Hi all

I am a newbie who has just taken delivery of MBP 15", i have alway used windows prevously so as you can imagine the IOS is a bit of a shock to me!!

I have managed to transfer my music/films/apps on to my MBP via an external hardrive even though i havent had the guts to sync yet incase i lose everything on the phone.

couple of questions:

-is it possible to transfer pics from iphone/ipad library on to my laptops? I can transfer camera roll but not library.

-I have added my google calendar to Ical but if i enter something on MBP calendar it doesnt seem to sync to my calendars on iphone or ipad..how come?

-Can i sync contacts from Iphone to MBP?

Also what best sleeve/bag for protecting my MBP?

Many apologies for all the questions but just need advice as getting frustrated...:)

Many thanks

Xtian

First off, given there's likely a language issue here, I want to still state that it's OS X, not iOS. iOS is specific to iDevices.

It is possible to transfer pictures from iOS to OS X. Especially with iCloud coming. Just sync with iPhoto for now though.

In order for your calendars to sync up, you have to have the same account on both devices. Hence, syncing them. Make sure your account on your MBP is also logged in on your iDevice.

Contacts go the same way as pictures and calendars. Sync up the same account which holds the info.

Incase makes pretty hot bookbags. But this is something that you're going to have to do research on. Google it or even MRoogle it. There's been a ton of discussion on it. I'm trying not to create more.

To be quite honest, and not bashing you or anything, all of your questions are answered in different threads here or in general on different websites around the intarwebz.

Google is your friend. Either way, welcome to the wonderful world of the MacBook Pro!

Sorry, I can't help you with the iPhones questions but I have owned 2 of these sleeves and I think they're great, vertical works best if you're using a backpack:

Someone else on the forums said they really like this one and I am thinking about getting for my son's new MBP:

I picked up the booq boa nerve recently. Messenger bag with sleeve laptop sleeve included. Superb quality.

Helpful Information for Any Mac User

The booq Vyper is the best protection I've ever seen in a notebook sleeve. In my opinion, it offers far better protection than any neoprene case, the zippers never come into contact with your MBP, and it looks great!
