Newbie ? on using Pwnage 2.0 on 1st gen IPhone

I have the 1st gen iphone and used Ziphone to unlock, jailbreak etc. and working great now.
I am reading all this stuff about getting bootloader files ? and .bin files??
I am kinda LOST as a newbie..
Do I:

download all these files i am hearing about on:
http://www.macgeekblog.com/blog/archive/2008/07/19/pwnage-20-jailbreak-iphone-3g-now.html
That tells me i must have this FIRMWARE & BOOTLOADER FILES???????

OR
1.Just plug it into itunes and let it upgrade
2. KEEP it plugged in and start the Pwnage tool and go and let it do its thing??

3. Please help me so i don't mess up...:confused:
