Very noobish question...

This happened just a couple hours ago, I'm no longer getting the preset sound when I delete an item or empty my trash bin...is there a setting for this?

In addition, been doing research on potentially switching to an SSD. Will I really see an improved battery life of >1hr (across all functionality)?

TIA :)

It depends what ssd you choose. Some are more energy efficient then others. You will have to look at that before you buy.

System Preferences-->Sound-->Sound Effects-->Play user interface sound effects.

Though unless you unchecked this, perhaps a restart is in order.

tomshardware seems to conclude that some SSDs actually decrease overall battery life....to switch or not, that is the question

The restart worked perfectly, thank you. Though I wonder why this would happen in the first place
