I have a Power Mac with OS X 10.2 on it with a bunch of software that i dont have the discs for anymore. I want to upgrade to 10.4, will i lose my software/have to reinstall it, or will it still be there to use after the installation?

You might have to reinstall some programs - generally ones that were installed using a .pkg installer you'll have to reinstall because root files and stuff won't be there.

its programs like photoshop and office, so i dont know if they used a .pkg installer?

Office should be fine - Photoshop might ask you to reinstall because it can't find certain components.

Just copy everything back into your Applications folder from the "prev system" folder that will appear after an Archive and Install.

Any programs that don't work will tell you - they'll tell you to reinstall it.
