newbie question

ok I downloaded some drivers and somehow they are on my desktop . how do i get them off my screen? I have tried to drag and drop to the wastebasket but nothing still there ? Will it always be there since I downloaded it? thanks in advance still trying to get the hang of the Mac from years of windows..

Usually, you can just drag a file to the trash. Then empty the trash.

May be the driver is still in use, try to close (cmd+q) any applications that you suspect are using that driver, and then drag it to the Trash.

However, if you do this, then whatever application is using the driver will not work if the driver is required.
