Newbie to Mac, blogging, and Movable Type publishing platform.

My current laptop, is not a Mac. I recently became interested in making money on the internet. I thought that I would begin, by starting my own blog. I started a blog, using Blogger beta, and have learned alot in a short time. It was fun, but I wanted to take it one step further. I recently purchased Movable Type 3.3 (commercial 5 author), with support. I read that Movable is most at home on Mac OS. I am new to Mac. I plan to purchase a Mac for the purpose of starting my own business. I plan to start with a commercial type blog. As I gain experience, I would like to branch out into other avenues of business. I intend to purchase a Mac pc this spring, when the new Leopard OS comes out. I would like to purchase the latest model system available, with Leopard installed. I plan to keep my current laptop, for other purposes. I would like to know what system would be best for commercial purposes? Cost is not really an issue. Mobility is not an issue, but if it was..would a Macbook Pro 17" with Intel core 2 duo be sufficient as I expand into building web sites, for example? I'm also considering the Mac Pro. Would this be a better choice? Thanks in advance.
