hi i just bought an imac, desktop computer,,,

basically i have also bought age of empires collectors edition for pc, i placed it in the computer and it wont automatically run, and when you do click on auto run it says to choose an application to run it. i dont know what to do ? please help

You said you bought the PC version, you need to either install windows in bootcamp or go back and buy a Mac version if there is one.

thanks,

install windows in bootcamp? pretty new to all this. is there a guide i can follow to do this ?

thanks for the quick responce

An iMac and all other current Macs run an Operating System (OS) called Mac OS X. Other PCs normally run Windows and if you bought a game for a PC, it most probably requires Windows to run it.
As Windows and Mac OS X are different OSs, a Windows application/program/software will not run natively on Mac OS X, and vice versa.

You need to run Windows on your iMac, which is easily possible:

And Apple has this to say: Mac 101: Using Windows on your Mac via Boot Camp
found via "install windows via bootcamp"

Have you also taken a look at MRoogle, since that question may have been asked several times?

Btw, if you are new to Mac OS X, take a look at Helpful Information for Any Mac User by GGJstudios
