Must be a lame question but I don't know answer.

Directories in Finder never show their size and if you do Get Info it still does not show size? Confused...
 
If I do Get Info mine do. You may have to wait a little: the size is calculated on demand so the more items, the more time taken.

Perhaps the arrow needs to be clicked on the General section. Here is a screen grab of an info display of a folder.

I've taken a closer look.

In Finder it always just shows "--" for size (in the size column). Ditto in Forklift. If I do Get Info in ForkLift "--" remains but in Finder it does show the size.

It really sucks not seeing the size without doing "Get Info". I really need the size column to populate so I can sort folders on size etc.

The only dirs that show size without doing Get Info are <1 meg :(
