Newbie with question about photos and also wireless syncing

1) When you take a photo with the iphone and then sync to your mac, where can you find the photo on your mac?

2) When you have wireless wifi sync set up, should you hit eject in itunes before turning off wireless on the phone or does it not matter?

Hmm iphoto doesnt pop up but found the pics in iphotos photo stream so that will work.
