Newbiee @mac.com email address question

I was able to create a id during my intial registration process xyz@mac.com

i am able to use this with iChat... I was wondering if i have a mailbox as well.. if so, how can i setup? i tried setting through iMail, but it keeps rejecting my account...

can you still get a "@mac.com" address? is it "@me.com" instead?

well i have myfirsnamelastnamE@mac.com id to access ichat and stuff.. It made me walk through the initial setup where i was able to get that address..

i chose not to use @me

any idea?

To get a mailbox you have to buy a subscription to MobileMe (previously .Mac).
