Hello people,

Recently I purchased a Macbook Air M1 and trying to find my ways around macOS. I also have an iPhone.

I have a question about Messages. Is it supposed to remain in sync with my iPhone? Because it does not. When I delete a message in one device it's not getting deleted on the other. Is this the way it works?

About Facetime. I have 2 SIMs and have set the preferred SIM for each contact on iPhone. When initiating the call from macOS it doesn't respect the defined preference and calls every time from my primary SIM. Also I can't always initiate a call from the Contacts app. It seems to give it a try to call and then hangs up immediately. I have to press call 3-4 times to actually get it to call.

You have to enable iCloud messaging on both. Can't help you wiith Facetime, but am sure someone else will. See:
