That makes 8GB Crucial ram $91 if you buy the single 4GB (purchase 2 of them)... which is EXACTLY the same ram as the 8GB kit. The 8GB kit is $110... so almost $20 more.

GSKILL 8GB kit drops to $85...

Both DAMN good prices... I'd rather spend the extra $6 for the Crucial name though... better ram IMO.

OWC ram is down to $117 now...

I'm purchasing tomorrow ;)

every g.skill peice i've used is fine. They've been in business for nearly twenty years.

Well the one time I used GSKILL it failed on me.... so yes.. for me, better ram.

I know almost all ram is basically the same thing, but to me, if that brand failed 100% of the time I purchased (I know, small sample group, but still...) I'd rather spend the extra $6.... peace of mind I suppose. $6 isn't going to kill me.

Anyways good prices... I looked it up, it seems it expires tomorrow (12/25) end of day. So you basically have 24 hours LEFT on the deal.

Just a bump to remind the folks today is the last day for this deal ;)

you cant judge a product on 1 experience, if you bought it like twice and it failed that would be a different story but buying it once and saying it sucks is just retarted, and you probably only bought crucial memory once right?

Thanks! Now I just have to decide if I actually need this or not...haha. It would be nice to not have to worry about resources and leave my VM on all the time. Hmm....

Okay. Good job.

Yeah, hard to pass up either deal. The GSKILL is just dirt cheap for 8GB, so's the $91 for the Crucial.... I don't really NEED it, but hard deal to pass up.

I've never heard of the word "retarted" or are you just being retarded? :D

I'm on Newegg looking at the RAM, but I'm not seeing any 10% discounts. Is it code activated? or is there some special link i need to use?

Edit: I saw the coupon code at the top of this thread. My bad. BUT, it's not applying to the G.Skill Apple 8GB kit. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231297

It applies perfectly fine for me. Makes the kit $85 for 8GB. Have to be logged in and TYPE in the code in the shopping cart as your checking out.

This is what I get for the G.Skill Apple Kit...

"Although you've entered a valid promo code NBMEM10, your order does not currently meet the code's usage criteria."

Are you 100% sure you are picking the laptop memory? It only applies to laptop memory. Mine is in my cart right now with discount applied (although I'm not planning to buy GSKILL)... so I know it works.

Just so you know I"m not making anything up ;) It comes out to $85.49 after discount.

I just purchased the regular Crucial 4gb DIMMs @ 45.89 (w/ discount). Now I need to order the screwdriver to take apart my MBP :)

I too went with Crucial. Partially because the G.Skill kit was out of stock, but the crucial sticks have more favorable Mac reviews and better reviews in general on there.
