Hello!

This isn't a huge problem, but I was curious as to why this is!

My friend got his MacBook in September of last year, and I got my MacBook in May of this year.

Mine has a 2.4Ghz Core 2 Duo processor, and his has a 2Ghz Core 2 Duo processor.

We both have the same amount of RAM, as well.
(Mine came with 2GB, his came with 1GB.)

His HD is much more filled than mine is, as well.

The question is: Why does his dock go so much faster than mine?

When I scroll the mouse over his dock, it goes much faster than mine-- magnification and flow-wise.

Our settings are the same, but he has many more icons on his dock.

His expose and spaces also run a tad bit faster, as well.

Anyone know why his responds faster, even though mine is considered a "better" computer?

Thanks!

-Cody

We're both running 10.5.5.

Also, we've both changed our Dock to 2D, but even in 3D his runs flawlessly, while mine runs slower than his.

His 2D dock runs quicker than mine, as stated, too.

Possible that one of the links to Applications folder is corrupted. I'd run the full spectrum on Onyx. Repair Permission etc.

Did everything with Onyx-- looks like the 2D dock is running much faster.

3D dock isn't though-- still same speed..

3D Dock is still slower than your friend's? Post a YouTube side-by-side.

Won't see him until this weekend most likely, but I can ask him to record a video of his dock soon enough.

Any other suggestions aside from that, though?

My 2D dock is running at his 3D dock speed.
