Newest iMacs and Apple USB Ethernet Adaptor

Can anyone confirm that the Apple USB Ethernet Adaptor (the one sold for the Air) either works or doesn't with the latest iMacs. Can't imagine why it wouldn't, but I'm curious if someone has tried it / is willing to.

I don't know if it will or won't.

Might I ask why you would want to do this?

I could see if you wanted dual ethernet ports like on a mac pro but then again I think it would be pointless because of the transfer speed of USB compared to a actually gigabit ethernet port.
