I bought my 6S brand new back in July and I’ve taken pretty good care of it, I think. Never dropped it, always kept it in a case, kept it clean, etc. It usually lives in my backpack instead of my pocket.
I don’t use the headphone output very often, but I noticed tonight that music tends to clip harshly when the dynamics get high. I’m not talking about turning the volume up, I’m saying when the source audio file is loud the output distorts badly regardless of volume setting. It’s very obvious on my studio headphones.
EQ is off, Sound Check is on.
If I play the same file on my MacBook, it sounds just fine.
Output jack seems clean.
Anyone else have an issue like this, and how did you resolve it?
