Hello!

Earlier today after buying a used Apple white Wireless Keyboard for $3, I proceeded to remove and clean the keys. Upon opening the battery compartment I discovered that the batteries had ruptured. I cleaned out the corrosion and got new batteries in. With some terminal cleaning it powered on with a solid green light, then a flashing green light on the underside for a little while. While this is happening, it isn't showing up on the two Macs I have tried it on, a 2012 MBP nonR, and a 2008 MacBook. What should I do now?

Throw it away & buy a new keyboard? Never occurred to you why someone would part with a keyboard for $3?

I believe the early white wireless keyboards are not compatible with Macs built after 2006 or so. I forget when the transition occurred, I have one in the basement too, :)
