Newly Created Files Not Appearing In Recents in Finder

I noticed that the search criteria Mac OS uses in the RECENTS listing in Finder shows only documents Last Used. I would like for it to also include documents that I may have just recently created. For example, if I create a new PDF file right now, it won't show up in the Recents listing.

I could find the right criteria to put in this search criteria settings. Anyone have any suggestions?
