Newly fixed Quad G5 fans blasting on sleep

Guys my newly fixed Powermac Quad has fans blasting when it goes to sleep.

Is this a hardware or software issue?

I don't own a powermac but have you tried a PMU/SMU reset?

also, are the boot times so horrid that you have to use the sleep function? shutting down and powering on would solve the problem pretty fast, hehe

It happens when i go away from the computer for any length of time.

Apple said today to make sure fireware updates are done and that it could be a hardware issue... thank God it is still under their warranty.
