As a news gathering tool, Apple News is terrific. As a news organizing tool, it really sucks. Take for example if you look at a newsfeed of a publication. In the original publication, the stories are well organized by either topic or date. In Apple News, they're not organized at all. In addition, you can't organize your favorites as they haphazard perhaps by date of entry.
Also another pet peeve, if you expand the app's window, it doesn't stay expanded but always reverts to default size. The fonts should also be customizable by size.
