The current Apple Radio Remote for the iPod is no longer available for purchase on the online Apple store. It may be updated to match the new remote design found on the other Apple headphones. The significance of this is that the Radio Remote was the only officially supported accessory to allow for the listening of FM radio stations.

I got given one of those once, attempted to use it on my way to work, I was surprised at just how bad it was considering the price, ended up selling it on, terrible terrible device.

I have one that I used to use on my commute into the city. Of course it cut out in the Lincoln Tunnel... but other then that I liked it. It even showed station info for most stations. I will admit that it is not a huge loss. Most FM stations can be streamed through various iPhone apps now anyways. It's another failed venture of Apple. Add it to the pile including the iPod HiFi, iPod camera transfer adapter, and the other dead products. My next guess is the removal of the IR remote and built in receivers in Macs.
