Debating between a 2018 iPad 12.9 or the new Air. I played with both and noticed the Apple News App is quite choppy / laggy on the new Air. The application works well on the 13 MBP and iPad Pro. Wonder if the CPU/GPU in the Air is not too weak for the resolution.
Have you also noticed some graphics perf issues when using your new Air (web browsing , news app , etc ) ?

Highly doubt it's the cpu/gpu. It's probably not well optimized yet.

Performance seems ok here - what specifically were you doing when it was laggy? It can take a sec to load the different feeds the first time but nothing substantial. Safari is pretty quick as well.

Just scroll down/up when all the feeds are loaded. It’s not smooth like on the MBP or IPad.
