News feed on 2nd Display?

Hello all,

First off, my knowledge about technology is very limited so sorry if the question is stupid.

I have been using my MBP now for about 5 months and everything is working fine. However, I recently got my hands on a second display that I have hooked up to my MBP and I was wondering if it is possible to use this display for feeds for news, stocks and social media? I would prefer if these feeds covered the entire screen.

Is there any software that does this?

Connect the monitor up, turn it on, wake the MBP up and it should recognize it straight away.

Anything you can display on the MBP screen can also be displayed on the external monitor.
