News+ Puzzles on macOS Ventura?

The latest iOS/iPadOS 17 upgraded the News+ app to now have puzzles. This does not appear in the News app on Ventura. Anyone have a clue whether this feature will only show up on Sonoma or will Ventura be revised to enable puzzles on News+ app?

The News+ app on iOS/iPadOS 17 indeed has a new feature that includes puzzles1. However, this feature does not appear to be available in the News app on macOS Ventura.
TBH It’s unclear at this time whether this feature will only be available on macOS Sonoma or if macOS Ventura will be updated to include puzzles in the News+ app.

With iOS 17 and macOS Sonoma, Apple News+ subscribers get a new perk: A daily crossword puzzle built right into the News app. In fact, there are two puzzles: the standard puzzle and a 5×5 “mini” puzzle. It’s a nice addition, and a mainstay of traditional newspapers, but it’s not front-and-center when you open the News app so you need to know where to look for it.

If you’re an Apple News+ or Apple One subscriber, you’ll have to patiently await your chance to compete. If you’re interested in how to access these puzzles on iOS 17 or macOS Sonoma, here are the steps:

1. Open News and select the Following tab.
2. At the top of the Following tab, select Puzzles.
3. Now in the News+ Puzzles section, you can select from a list of recent daily crosswords and mini crosswords

:-( Yeah, not seeing it on Ventura. It's definitely there on iPad OS 17 and iOS 17 and the puzzles are fun and a bit different from NYT which I also do play.

I wouldn't hold your breath on Puzzles finding their way to Ventura. This is a new OS feature, so it's highly unlikely they use the resources to add it to an OS that they no longer maintain beyond security updates.

Perhaps. They did update Safari on Ventura so that is has profiles. I can see Apple updating News+ for Ventura so the features are on par with Sonoma.
