newsgroup readers ?

I use Vienna. It's free and does a nice job.

Vienna is not a Usenet reader, it is a RSS feed reader and I don't believe that is what you were looking for,

I must have tried them all over the years in both OS X and Windows, and Unison for OS X is my favourite by far. I mostly download binaries.

I personally use Pineapple News, free, excellent program.
