Don't know about newsletters, but the macosxhints and apple support rss feeds can be helpful...

I took a look at the feeds you mention, but I am looking for something a little more newbie-friendly. A weekly or bi-monthly newsletter that has some sort of theme and/or structure to it (vs. answers to random questions) so that I may increase my knowledge of the OS.
I used to subscribe to several for Windows (eg. Woody's Windows Watch, Woody's Office Watch, etc.) when I first started out with that system and found them helpful in improving my computing skills.
