iPad mini newsstand on mini problems

Once IV downloaded a mag on newsstand on mini ipad, the promo page for this mag cannot be moved, or closed, to choose other mags, it just blocks the page. Sometimes if tap to side it does. What gives?

I've noticed a few animated pages of Wired won't allow you it navigate past them. Only way is to back then use the TOC to get past them.
