Does anyone else think that it would make sense that when they release the next 13" MBP that it would have at least a 1440 resolution given that the new MBA has it?

The next Macbook Pro will be a complete redesign. Apple can no longer afford to keep pushing out Macbook Pros while its Macbook Airs completely dominate the Pro market. Why would anyone buy a Macbook Pro 13 inch over the 13 Air? For its Superdrive capability? Honestly...

The Air destroys the Macbooks due to its SSD capabilities. The snappiness of the Airs are paralleled. I went to play around with a 1.7ghz Core i5 Air and I felt it was markely faster than anything I've used before. Programs instantly pop and websites load instantly. Not even that slight flash to download the entire website exists anymore.

The next MBPs I imagine will have a silver bezel, devoid of glass due to the weight. It'll be slightly thinner, without a Superdrive. The battery will take the entire from end of the computer while it will be equipt with a blade of 64gb SSD with a HDD side drive.

If Apple really wants to obliterate the laptop market, they could release the next gen MBPs with HIDPI screens. I'm talking about 2880x1800 screens for the Macbook 15inch and 3840x2400 screens for their 17 inchers. Put in 1gb to 2gb of ram for each video card. That would completely shatter the notebook market.

I agree with #2. There is no reason to have 1440 if MBA 13" has it. Maybe 1440 in 2012 and 1600 in late 2012. Who knows. No one but few people in the world knows that the next update will be.
