next gen 15 mbpr suppose to have 40% faster integrated gpu's?

More like 20%. And it really depends on the application. It will still be slow in modern games at high resolutions because of lack of bandwidth — can't really improve that bit much.

next gen , as in broadwell then yes it should have around 20% better performance , next refresh probably minimal difference unless they put a 850m in the high end 15"

If you mean the late-2014 kind of next-gen, expect the exact same iGPU (Iris Pro 5200).

If you mean the mid-2015 kind of next-gen, it's too early to know, all you'll find are rumors or speculation.

Intel's IGP solutions are already faster than AMD's IGP solutions. Or what do you mean here?

Yes they are, but they don't compete with dedicated GPUs, and for anyone who actually wants more than casual use video performance for intensive tasks such as gaming and rendering, they're still not good enough.

I believe he is referring to Broadwell which should be in the rMBP's by early 2015 if not late 2014.

They've been delayed until 2015 for sure, at least 2Q IIRC, so that means they won't be integrated into MBPs until whenever Apple's next upgrade is in mid-late 2015 (unless Apple does an ad-hoc refresh just for Broadwell).

Your source?

From what I see, Broadwell CPU's will be released in late 2014.

Yup, it's a terrible situation for people that absolutely need to upgrade now. I was planning on selling my old 17'' and upgrading, but I guess it will have to wait now.

But the good news is, is that Haswell or Broadwell, it's still going to be great.
