Hello,

Does anyone know what RAM speed will the next gen MBP get? Still 1333MHz?

I am asking because with the last ram price drop for the 2x8GB from either Corsair or OWC is very tempting to replace my 2x4GB that I've got.

So if the next MBP refresh will use 1333MHz, and if and only if I buy that new MBP in 2012, then I'll be able to switch the ram as well.

The Ivy Bridge will/should support 1600 MHz RAM:

It will probably be downwards compatible, but at this point I wouldn't buy 2x8 GB 1333 RAM if you have the intention to reuse them in the 2012 model.
thanks for the info. I only have to agree with you. Prices are low but with speed increase to 1600MHz, it doesn't make sense to have lower ram speed on a faster machine :(
