Next information update from Apple on the 2013 Mac Pro?

When do you think we'll hear more about the new Mac Pro? Apple has indicated plans for release this year sometime, but will they just drop it unannounced, or will there be more information about the final design and specs prior to launch? If so, are there any events lined up where it would make sense to do so?

I'd be curious about configurations, specs, expansion options, etc...

I would expect an announcement and then shipping release within a week. I'm expecting this to occur in September or October.

Agreed, I think we'll see the new Mac Pros alongside new Macbook Pros some time as from September.

Your guess is as good as anyone else. Sounds plausible. I'd be surprised if there was any more information until a product announcement.

Shipping after announcement: a crap shoot. Could be immediate, could be a few weeks. Heck, it's not like they're going to pull an Osborne.

Also, you'd have to guess about standard versus BTO configurations (to the extent there are any).
