Actually Apple only uses Big Cats species and not just any Wild Cat. There are only 9 (4 are Leopard) and all will be used except the 2 Clouded Leopards.

I just can't see Apple calling OS X 10.8 "Clouded" though.

I like that Kitten box, very cute.

But there is a simple reason why they called the next version of OS X "Lion": It will be the last incarnation of OS X. After Lion, they will fuse OS X and iOS to some "awesome, magical, beautiful, revolutionary" new operating system.
