Ok, so I have the last revision iBook (late 2005) before Apple went Intel, and I used it for my first year at college this year. Do you think I could get more out of it, or give it to my younger brother and get a new laptop for college next year? I'm leaning towards the latter, since most people got a new laptop for this year anyways... and chances are with more advanced courses I'll need more computing power. Anyways, I still would like a second opinion. Also, is there a likelihood that there will be a MacBook refresh before September? (I'm hoping there'll be one a month or so before the iPod refresh, but Idk....)

for normal college usage, your iBook is enough. the only difference will be how fast it gets the jobs done. I think there won't be a refresh till late september or even october...

but if money is not a big issue... why not!

I say sell it to your brother and get a new MB or MBP (refurb ofc) in the summertime and sell the iPod that you get.
