Next Macbook pro update how much better can it get!

Iv noticed alot of people that bought the Oct 2008 - unibody macbook/rpro have bought the latest update summer 2009.

How much better would the next update have to be for others to buy the next updated version of macbook pro 13".

The only good thing about this new 13" is the FW800 Port.. No Digital Audio in, that stupid Battery, Display got worse for some models, Sata speed halved.
A 500€ PC Notebook has better Specs. :/

It could have all of the following:

- Removable battery
- FireWire 3200
- USB 3.0
- Blu Ray BURNER
- Quad-core CPU
- ExpressCard 2.0 (lack of a PCMCIA slot is why I never bought a PowerBook 12" (=> no laptop until my snatching of a prev gen 15" just in case))

The only reason I upgraded to the Pro, because this upgrade wasn't exactly a speed bump. This upgrade was pretty big, as this computer deserved the name MacBook Pro. They also changed the architecture of the Logic Board, and that requires more planning than upgrading the processors. I will not be upgrading to the next 13" Pro, because I'm pretty sure that they won't do anything big like changing the design, etc.

For the next Pro, I think that they will upgrade the processor, HDD, and possibly RAM.

But others are saying this is mearely just a small speed bump.

And next year will be the major speed bump with the new processor chip. And maybe a quod processor next year.

they will upgrade to nehalem for mobile, just wait until the end of this year :D.

How much differnce does it make having a 1.5 rather then a 3.0 sata drive?

The macbook pro 13" is still more then 10% faster then the previous 13" unibody macbook.

Unless you're doing serious video editing, photo editing, or anything really intensive, a quad processor won't really matter for the light-average users. An SSD should smooth over and speed issues for daily use.

Just buy now.

A feature that should be added which i havnt read from others which WILL be useful and others MAY also like to have is:

Fingerprint recognition
Simply swipe your finger over the biometric fingerprint sensor to log-in and unlock your computer.
(similar that on a vaio TT)

and maybe:

With 1366x768 (WXGA) high resolution and true 16:9 aspect ratio, this new display offers the best possible digital media experience. Enjoy blockbuster movies with no or reduced black bars top and bottom.

Any maybe even lighter

Don't think so.

Yay! Let's put a gimmicky unlocking system in our computer that inevitably gets dirty and locks the user out of their machine! Oh, and cut a new hole in our case for it!

Any real movie is 2.39:1, so 16:9 is absolutely worthless in getting rid of black bars.

LOL, I hope you were being sarcastic. Fingerprint readers are lame, and 1386 x 768? Laptops aren't portable DVD players.

I wasnt being sarcastic.
