When is the macbook pro update? What gen is the present macbook pro? I am planning to buy a macbook pro on the next update.

and As a sophmore in highschool in multiple a p course, I'm typing up reports all the time and merely need 10 year old compaq with a 500 mb hard drive, 64 mb of memory, and a pentium 2 processor (forgive me if this computer doesn't exist, I made it up, but either way it is still disgusting) to get what i need.

Now, unless you are an underground super video editor, you don't need the latest MBP.

But, for your information if you are that lucky I would suggest getting this santa rosa macbook that just came out. That is really what you should get.

And after vigorous months of earning money the old fashioned way, in a few weeks I will have saved up enough money to buy my first mac-- a blackbook with a 2.2 ghz santa rosa processor, 150 gb HDD, and 2 gb of RAM.
