Anyone want to see an official NFL app that gives live games via 3G just like the MLB At Bat app? Live Football is a bit more interesting, I mean think about it: the close games each year in the NFL are intense, and being able to see a close game ANYWHERE (the app's PUSH feature could instantly alert you if a team is in the red zone with 2 minutes to go or anything similar). The NFL would definitely make big money off this app, and of course I'm guessing the servers might actually be overloaded considering people are more likely to watch live football than live baseball, but I can still see it as a big success.

I believe the NFL has a contract with sprint or
verizon I can't remember which one so seeing an offical NFL iPhone app seems highly unlikely. Best way to go is what the link in the second post suggests.

NFL is all screwed up on this one. They have been making big buck these last years and the greed is showing with these ridiculous deals with DirecTV and Sprint....and of course trying to completely control there product with the NFL channel. I'm sure they will make money in the short run, but eventually they are going to turn off people like me.
For once (and I mean only once) the MLB got it right: get your product out there in as many hands as possible and watch the ad money roll in baby.

There is going to be an app. You can get the app if your a directv subscriber with the NFL package. It will stream live games to the iPhone. It's on directv's website.
