I'm looking to set up a friendly pool amongst some of my buddies for the NFL playoffs and was hoping to find an opensource project that I could put up on my domain to allow for this to happen easily. I wasn't able to find anything on sourceforge and was hoping someone here might have a recommendation for me.

Ideally I just want everyone to be able to create a login and make their predictions for the playoffs, in a bracket similar to those that are so popular during March Madness. If I could even re-use it in March... it would be all the sweeter. I just don't want to have to keep track of it all on paper.

If anyone could point towards a web based app (preferably PHP and MySql) it would be very much appreciated.

I have a pretty good knowledge of how to do this, but with such a short time frame I don't think I'd be able to put it together quick enough.

Are you good with design? That is my problem I'm not good at creating designs. But I could try to help you out doing the back end. Making the Database and most of the PHP programming. And it sounds like a good idea to make.

If you are interested in going with this idea, let me know. If not, thanks for the idea. I'll try to get a friend of mine on board to create this.

I can definitely handle the design portion, while I was hoping to find something I could use starting this weekend it seems like something that would be useful again in the future.

Ideally it would work for more than just the NFL, it should definitely work for March Madness as well and possibly a few others.

I would like to do this, unless someone else knows of a site that already has the same purpose. I guess the playoff picks this year will have to be on paper.
