I need to transfer a lot of files from a linux (SUN JDS) system to a MacBook. Can I either mount a remote NFS on the Mac, or export a Mac directory for mounting on the remote system?

If so, how?

It's also fairly easy to set up an AFP (apple file protocol) server on linux, which you can mount locally on mac os x by doing Finder->Go->Connect to server.
