Although previous version of iOS notified you when apps automatically grabbed the clipboard when you started them, it appears iOS16 now asks if this is what you want.

This is amazing. A lot of apps from Chinese vendors (e.g. like this one for a IP security camera) seem to like to do this. I'm not saying it's anything dodgy. Somebody mentioned it's because they use open source libraries and don't really know what they're doing, so can't even turn it off. But it's a huge benefit from Apple this time around—especially if you like to copy and paste passwords or 2FA codes from one place to another.

It may not be doing something dodgy, but you have to wonder why a security camera wants to paste something. I'll leave it there to avoid having my post removed.
