Nice to see Pentax making the effort to catch up to Nikon and Canon in the digital SLR realm. They're really becoming quite competitive now... if I didn't already have an investment in Canon gear, I'd seriously be considering a Pentax now. I wouldn't have said that a year ago...

Pentax is making a good showing, but I am more impressed by the Olympus/Zuiko four-thirds range that is neatly divided into the Super High Grade, High Grade, and Standard series. With Leica's announcement of the 14-150mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS lens (28-300mm FF equivalent) and the new P-1 dSLR Olympus body, the Four-Thirds system is looking better and better.

If I was getting into it now(I already own lots of nikon glass) then I would probably get a k10d over any canon or nikon.

I agree that I would probably buy pentax over nikon now...but I have been a nikon user for well over 10 years, I'm not about to change that I guess. I would not buy pentax over canon though.
