15" TB MBP
So I wanted to see if 2 ports of the adapter worked at the same time. To my surprise, I was able to simultaneously use the HDMI usb-C adapter ports to connect my display with the HDMI port as well as a USB controller.
This is probably obvious to most here but it wants to me. So I thought I'd post about it for anyone like me that doesn't know better.
The more I think about it, this machine really doesnt need 4 USB-C ports, especially when the adapter can perform multiple functions at the same time. Thus, one of mine will permanently house the magsafe adapter like the one on the Kickstarter project.
And BTW, the program I was using when I tested the dongle is a high demand software. I used it for a solid hour and it only used about 20% of my battery capacity and the machine ran cool. On my 2010 (even a brand new battery) I'd get about 15 minutes before the battery would completely drain. I'd also get overheating to the point it would almost burn my legs.
