I’m shopping for MagSafe accessories, and came across a headphone DAC (digital-to-audio converter) and amp called the Khadas Tea. For those who are not aware, this is basically a souped-up headphone dongle with additional features.

I’ve also bookmarked a phone grip with some Bluetooth camera features called the Fjorden Grip.

What are some other products that use MagSafe and are a bit more niche?

The Khadas Tea is a very clever idea that solves the biggest issue with any external DAC/amp dongle—the dongle hanging from the lightning port by a cable. I wish more manufacturers would offer similar products.

There are other DAC/amps like the Qudelix 5K or the FiiO BTR series that are a combination of wired and bluetooth. They are boxes you clip on something, though, and not MagSafe.

just wanted to mention that the Khadas Tea sounds great when plugged in to the iphone paired with a good pair of in ear monitors or headphones. wireless is what it is. beautiful sounds with my campfire audio earbuds.

Given that iOS only supports the AAC Bluetooth protocol, I try to use wired for audio dongles.

the Tea can be either plugged in or wireless.

Do the headphones or ear buds need to be wired? I thought bluetooth is not a lossless transmission method.

if you’re referring to the Tea, the earbuds or headphones must be wired. but the Tea can connect to the iphone either by bluetooth or wired. much better wired.
