Nicknames in iChat

okay, so I know that it uses the names in your address book, but I notice that it does not push those to the nickname value on the AIM server.

I have an iphone and use AIM on there, the problem being i have about 200 buddies, and do not want to type in all of their names again, is there a way to get iChat to foward this information?
