I have around 1.75 TB of data (photography, drone videos, home videos, music, etc).
When I bought my Mac I didn’t want to max out my 2TB internal hard drive so I purchased two 4TB seagate external HDDs. I formatted both then copied the data over from my windows PC. One was being used as my primary and the other as my backup using syncovery to sync the backup nightly - worked great.
Flash forward a few weeks - tonight I went to unplug a USB cord and I accidentally pulled the wrong one which went to my USB hub that powers both hard drives. I got the eject error and thought nothing of it since the computer was idle until I plugged it in and the drives refuse to remount! My windows PC reads the drives perfectly. My Mac they are grayed out in disc utility.
I spent couple hours trying to mount them via terminal and even single login - went to google and tried a ton of suggestions and nothing worked. Then the suddenly one drive mounted out of the blue - only one though..
I’m taking advantage and copying over all my data over to my internal drive until I can figure out what’s going on. Hopefully it stays mounted for the next 6-8 hours...
Any suggestions?
