Hey everyone, there is the possibility that the Nike Amp+ iPod Remote Watch is EOL or a new version will be shown at the Sept 9th event - Read below.

- Last Month many stores Bestbuy included marked the product as marked down in order to dispatch their stock.

- As of the last 3 weeks a bundle of them have shown up on ebay through refurb companies.

- Its Nike counter part the SportsBand (not made for iPod), just received an update this past July

DEVICE REVISIONS

- Users of the device commonly reported that the LED dot screen was extremely hard to read, and could only be seen in very low light/ night situations.

- The iPhone 3Gs has enhanced support for the watch device,as does the iPod touch with the 3.0 software update

- The metal clasp variety (seen above) suffered from many breakages later to be replaced by a button variety (see image below). No announcement was ever made about the changing of the clasp

* This all means either it is EOL or there may be a new version announced at the Sept 9th iPod Event.

** There is also the possibility the Apple is going to announce the integration of the Nike+ radio into the the iPod Nano. It is currently integrated both into the iPhone and iPod touch.
