iPod touch NIKE+ ipod touch 2g - not calibrating

I have a new NIKE sensor in my old nike+ shoes. I've tried calibrating and it says "this workout cannot be calibrated" I've tried walking, running calibration and it doesnt want to work. Anyone else having these issues?
