Nike+ on iPhone?

Be it something announced or the chance of it happening in the future, is Nike+ on an iPhone possible? I know the argument back in the iPod days was the harddrive's shock resistance, be it true or not, so I'm wondering if this might put a stop to - the potential of - Nike+ on iPhone?

Heard anything? Is the iPhone (2G/3G) too fragile for such use?
 
I run with my iPhone everyday. Thats not an issue I believe.

The issue is probably the iPhone OS, and adapting it to nike + hardware.

I bet they release something soon.
