This is day 2 of my new Apple Watch, everything seems to be syncing just fine, however, one small issue that I have is that in my settings (NRC) current playlist is showing 'Other / No Music'. Is this a common problem or am I missing something?

I was never able to get my Nike Run Club app to play music. I don't think it's designed to do it on it's own (it will work if you are using the watch as a second screen for running the app off the iPhone). Actually, I think if you set the playlist on the iPhone app & possibly start a run, that it will then show up correctly on the watch (you'll get rid of the 'Other/No Music' issue, but it still won't play any music. You need to manually start a playlist from the Music app on the watch.

(it will work if you are using the watch as a second screen for running the app off the iPhone).

How do you use the watch is a second screen? If I start a run on the phone do I just launch NRC on the watch and if so will HR data sync to the phone app?

Yes to just launching the app on the watch.
I don’t know about the HR data. It’s been a while since I’ve used the watch that way (I run with just the watch now), and I don’t recall if the HR data came across or not.

So basically if you only use NRC from your watch it will use your watch’s GPS only?

But if you want your AW to use iPhone’s GPS you have to start the NRC workout on iPhone and then open the app on AW as well?

Another thing I find annoying is that I can’t seem to control my music from the NRC app?

EDIT: ok, if you enable music on NRC and start the workout on your phone and then open the app on you AW as well, you can then control the music from your AW too.

You can use the Apple Watch without the phone to both workout in NRC and listen to music, but you need to first use the Apple Watch app on the phone and load a playlist or two onto the phone.
