What is the benefit of buying a Nike version of the AW over the standard version? They are both the same price, I don't see the difference other than some different straps.

I have a Nike series 2 but only because I liked the yellow and black strap.

It’s really just the strap for me. I live in a tropical climate and the Nike band is better at dealing with sweat than other bands.

I've had a VERY small difference in Siri between the Standard and Nike versions.

Standard version: "I'm going for a run" - opens Workout app, starts a run immediately.
Nike version with NRC: "I'm going for a run" - opens NRC
Nike version without NRC: "I'm going for a run" - opens Workout app, does not start a run.

I've not managed to convince Siri to start a run on the Workout app for me without additional taps on the Nike version.

I have the Nike Series 4 and the only differences I know of are a unique Nike band and Nike watch faces. There's also some Nike-specific packaging, too. Other than those differences, it's really just like the standard Series 4 aluminum model.

If you’re going to get a series 5 I know the Nike series 4 launched a few weeks later than the standard series 4. That was the only real (minor) negative I found.

Like others here I bought mine because I’m of the mindset that I’d rather get more for my money, so why not?

I do really wish Apple would allow you to specify your own body and strap combination upon purchase, however, as I personally prefer the silver aluminium case to the space grey version but do not like the platinum strap that came with it (so that is sitting in the box brand-new).

I bought a Nike Plus Black/Volt strap secondhand but in mint condition as I to believe that the holes in the strap help when exercising or in hot conditions.

I have other metal straps too for when I want a more classy / professional look.
